Interests Travelling I am a keen traveller and have been fortunate enough to have already experienced many different countries. These experiences have allowed me to cultivate language and communication skills through contact with people from around the world. I learned to use non-verbal and verbal communication to overcome language barriers and have developed negotiation skills from contact with sellers and vendors in local markets.
Charity Fair-trade: Organised fundraising stalls and have given talks to school and visitors to raise awareness of this charity, what they do and how people can get involved in helping them.
Soft Power: Involved with a team that raised £2000 for Soft Power Education who are dedicated to helping build schools in Uganda. This was achieved by organising events such as discos for younger children.
Macmillan: I have been involved in the organisation of various Macmillan coffee mornings throughout school, university and employment. I also took part in the ‘Go Sober for October’ challenge in 2014 and raised £250 for the charity.
