Profile

I have volunteered as a teachers aid in an elementary school, this involved working with kids individually and collectively. We worked on a range of things from their reading to math problems and any other things they may require some assistance on. As part of my volunteer trip I had a month of training, this included learning about people and how to work well with those of other cultures. 

In January, 2016 I went to China to do a TESOL course as well as get teaching practice over 6 months. During the program we learned about everything from teaching 3 year olds to teaching advanced English classes and then were able to put all of out lessons into practice.

Experience

Teacher, Sunshine Language School, Harbin, China               2015- 2017          

-   I taught weekly small classes ages ranging 4-18.

-   I taught one time speaking classes at the university as well as the high school.

-   I taught one to one classes.

-   I taught High school and middle school classes with as many as 70 students.

-   For each class I was required to create a lesson plan that would thoroughly cover all topics in the text book or cover certain grammar points.

-   I was required to administer tests and grade them afterwards.

-   My classes ranged from teaching basic vocabulary for young learners to advanced english and grammar points for adult classes.
