Personal Profile

 

I have worked within engineering for the past 10 years which I feel has provided me with a multitude of skills. Some of these I did not have previously such as good organisation and others which I feel come naturally for me but have been able to refine such as leadership. My previous job roles have also enabled me to be a very capable problem solver and public speaker as I have had to present under pressure to numerous high profile clients. I have also had 2 apprentices which I have had to train for extended periods of time.

In my personal life I enjoy taking part in several sporting activities, mostly football, as I enjoy competing and being part of a team. One of the things I enjoy most is travel; I have been to many countries around the world. This is one of the main reasons for me becoming a teacher abroad, I want to experience living amongst a new culture and am very keen to learn a new language. I want the opportunity to teach others as I have really enjoyed the exposure I have had with apprentices in the past and watching them learn and improve as this provides me with a real sense of fulfilment.
